Hello Artist!

Thank you for offering your work on the Indigenous Artist website. Website build and administration is by Reisa Stone, a settler ally currently in Environmental & Indigenous studies at UVic.

Your images and words will be posted just as you submit them, and will never be used elsewhere without explicit consent. Reisa will not speak on nor conduct business on your behalf. For your security, financial info and fees will not be requested or posted. This is not an e-commerce site. Art commissions and sales will be conducted in your own domain.

Your name will appear in Navigation, and lead to your own contact information outside this website.

You may use your web page address anywhere you like. For example, on business cards and social media. Your personal address will be provided to you once the website is launched. You are encouraged to create backlinks, as this increases site visits for yourself and others.

Reisa will manage technical issues. Email her at: StoneSings@gmail.com, and she will respond within 24 hours on weekdays. Requests after noon Fridays will receive a response by 4 pm Mondays.

Public events will be posted on the Events page. If you'd like your page edited or event information posted, please submit your detailed request two weeks in advance of when this needs to be posted. Arts, community and political events are welcome. It's recommended to submit events at least 3 weeks ahead of the actual occasion. Include clickable links in the body of your email. "@" does not create a clickable link, and links in photos and graphics are not clickable.

You may request web page removal at any time, with two weeks notice. There are no penalties or other negative consequences. Free will and self-determination are deeply respected here.

The Indigenous Arts website will remain on the Internet long term. This is Reisa Stone's settler "rent.” If in the coming years she needs to withdraw, she will post notice at least three months in advance, and will also contact each artist personally.

New submissions are accepted on a continual basis. Please submit your photos, Youtube/social media links and text to: StoneSings@gmail.com. If you submit graphics or photos, please also include the link to any mentioned sites and contact emails in the body of the email. The links to your Instagram, Facebook, etc. are not clickable inside your graphic or photo, and "@" will not lead to your Instagram, Facebook, etc.

Indigenous fawn lilies at "Cattle Point," unceded lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) territory. These lilies grow within the chong (Garry Oak) ecosystem, important for its camas bulb meadows, historically a major food and trading resource. There is less than 5% of the Garry Oak ecosystem remaining.
