Humpback Whale by Mariah Sarah Johnson
This website was created and is maintained on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) territory. It is being developed as a consensual allyship project for Dr. Sarah Hunt/Tłaliłila’ogwa's class, "Indigenous Political Ecologies of the Shoreline" at the University of Victoria. The website creator and manager is Ukrainian settler Reisa Stone, who will maintain this website in perpetuity. She considers it her "settler rent."

The site's intent and purpose is to promote the work of Indigenous artists from all territories, creating more visibility and encouraging sales of their works. It is also meant as an educational vehicle. Artists here are described in their own words, without editing. Self-definition is an integral part of allyship. In order to facilitate independence, sales are not conducted on this site. The contact information for each artist is on their individual web pages. Please click on Submissions for more information.
