Hello, Gilakas'la. My name is Mariah Sarah Johnson, named after Sarah Esther Nelson Johnson.
I originate from the Kwikwasut'inuxw Haxwa'mis people, our village is a
small village named Gilford Island, about 1 hour boat ride from Port Mcneill, BC.
II've been drawing and doing art for as long as I can remember. Earliest
memory is having my grandfather teach me drawing by tracing images with
tracing paper, to then moving onto sketching my own designs, all the way
to making my own art.
